Jeera prices moved up on the back of lower arrival in the mandis, besides expectation of fresh export enquiries.

At Unjha mandi of Gujarat, about 800-900 bags arrived and prices moved up by ₹15 to ₹3,200-3,750 per 20 kg. About 200 bags arrived in Rajkot and prices increased by ₹15 to ₹3,300-3,700 per 20 kg.

According to trade sources, jeera exports may gain 29 per cent to 58,000 tonnes in April-August compared to last year’s 45,000 tonnes.
