  • Red Chilli prices traded lower in the major spot markets across the country today. Lower supply has weighed on the prices in the Guntur market. The liquidity crisis has affected the supply of new crop in the market adversely.
  • Jeera prices dropped at the Rajkot spot market amid tracking some weakness on futures.
  • Good demand was seen for Jeera in the Rajkot spot markets while negligible activity was observed in Unjha market.
  • Turmeric trade has begun to pick up after dull activity in the week as the farmers have started to accept cheques in the major markets.
  • The Cardamom arrivals and trade is continuing to be sluggish attributed to the liquidity crisis existing in the markets.
  • As soon as the markets gets out of the ripples of the demonetization cash crunch, prices of Spices complex may move on the positive side supported mainly by the wedding season demand.
