Cardamom futures fell 0.51 per cent to Rs 1,375.10 per kg today as speculators cut down their bets amid muted physical demand for cardamom in the domestic spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing regions also fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December declined by Rs 7.10 or 0.51 per cent to Rs 1,375.10 per kg in a business turnover of 51 lots.
The spice for delivery in far-month January was down by Rs 4.10 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 1,415.50 per kg with a trading volume of just three lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
