KOCHI, AUGUST 23:

Spot pepper prices moved up on Tuesday on tight local availability. No selling pressure was felt. Eight tonnes of pepper of the high ranges were traded on the terminal market at ₹710 a kg. In the consuming markets in northern India, Sri Lankan pepper was being sold at ₹710 a kg, while in Mumbai, Vietnam pepper, suspected to be the material imported for value and addition and re-export, is being sold at ₹685 a kg, trade sources told BusinessLine.
