Guntur Chilli farmers can now avail state of the art 4,000 MT cold storage and get enhanced loan against warehouse receipts.
NCML, one of India’s leading players in warehousing and collateral management, said the purpose is to help farmers by providing a platform for scientific storage practices which will preserve their produce at the best possible quality. “We are helping create a healthy market environment for Chilli Farmers to realize liquidity and better prices of their produce in and around Guntur”, Sanjay Kaul, MD & CEO, NCML further added.
Elaborating, he added the company is associated with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states since 2004 and employed about 500 local youth from both states and has invested more than Rs. 100 crore in building state of the art modern dry warehouses at Guntur, Tadepalligudem, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Bhainsa and one cold storage at Guntur with an installed capacity of one lakh MT.
It has tie up with 60 Banks and managed Rs. 24,000 crore worth of WHR loans against commodities stored in 11,000 warehouses spread across the country as a collateral manager, he added.
NCML have over 900+ Warehouses at 167 locations, managing 50+ varieties of commodities.
