Turmeric futures trade higher on rising demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX on account of rising demand from traders and stockists at the spot market. Though, some gains were capped due to higher supply of inferior or lower grade turmeric from the producing belts.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 8146.00, up by 0.47% or Rs 38.00 from its previous closing of Rs 8108.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 10185 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 8146.00, up by 1.44% or Rs 116.00 from its previous closing of Rs 8030.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 24895 lots on NCDEX.
