Spot pepper markets ruled steady. On the terminal market, 23 tonnes from the high ranges and the plains arrived and were traded. Rajkumari pepper was traded at ₹630 a kg while the high range material fetched ₹625. Pepper from the plains traded at ₹615-620. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹61,400 (ungarbled) and ₹64,400 (garbled) a quintal. March contract on the IPSTA stayed steady at ₹63,500 a quintal. Export prices were at $9,600 a tonne c&f for Europe and $9,850 a tonne c&f for the US.
