Pepper hot on demand

Spot pepper prices stayed hot on strong domestic demand amid limited supply. 48 tonnes were traded today. Rajkumari material traded at ₹655 a kg. For exchange delivered pepper there were buyers at ₹655. Spot prices increased by ₹400 a quintal to ₹63,100 (ungarbled) and ₹66,100 (garbled). March contract on the IPSTA stayed unchanged at ₹65,000 a quintal. Export price was at $10,050 a tonne c&f for Europe and $10,300 for the US.
