Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX as participants enlarged their positions on account of heavy rains in the states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rains in the states are causing concerns on the state of the standing turmeric crop.
The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 9424.00, up by 0.28% or Rs 26.00 from its previous closing of Rs 9398.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 20945.00 lots.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 10070.00, up by 0.08% or Rs 8.00 from its previous closing of Rs 10062.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 16305.00 lots on NCDEX.
