According to market sources, turmeric price in the Nizamabad mandi stood at Rs 5,500 per quintal, up by Rs 100 per quintal and the arrivals stood steady at 500 bags.
Turmeric price quoting in the Erode mandi was stable at Rs 6,500 per quintal and arrivals decreased to 3,000 bags from 5,000 bags. The Salem variety was trading steady at Rs 7,000 per quintal.
In the Nanded mandi of Maharashtra, select quality quoted in the range of Rs 6,000-6,200 per quintal. The Powder quality traded in the range of Rs 4,900-5,300 per quintal.
The NCDEX Turmeric April contract moved in the range of Rs 6,286 and 6,420 per quintal and is currently trading at Rs 6,326, down by Rs 28 or 0.44% over the last close.
